[DVIPDFMx] Overprinting with xelatex

I'm using xelatex to produce family announcements for publication in
newspapers. You can see the online booking form here:
http://dev.iannounce.net/book_online
At the moment, we're just using a transparent background, so there is no
problem, but if we want to add a background colour, then we need the
text and any images to be overprinted.

It is, as long as it can be done on linux. That said, to my inexpert
eye, turning on overprinting looks pretty simple. Just a matter of
outputting the correct PDF instruction. I just don't know how to do
that in xelatex
