I don't know whether this dvipdfmx warning is relevant to Windows; it
is, at least, annoying.

Interestingly, there is a noticeable difference in the PDF output
generated by the current svn version on Linux and the 2008/06/21 MiKTeX
version of dvipdfmx on Windows, run on the same LaTeX generated DVI of
the following file:

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[dvipdfmx]{animate}

\begin{document}
\begin{animateinline}[controls]{1}
  \framebox[1em]{A}
\newframe
  \framebox[1em]{B}
\newframe
  \framebox[1em]{C}
\newframe
  \framebox[1em]{D}
\newframe
  \framebox[1em]{E}
\end{animateinline}
\end{document}

The appearence of the control buttons is quite different:

ftp://ftp.fzd.de/private/grahn/ex-win.pdf

Is it a simple configuration problem?
